What is Broasting?
We take our fresh chickens and marinate them in North Shack′s special recipe spices. After lightly flouring them, we cook them at a high pressure (10 minutes at 350°) injecting heat to sear the skin. This cooks your chicken from the inside out, keeping it from absorbing shortening. This means less grease, less fat, less calories and less cholesterol than fried and rotisserie chicken. We also use 100% pure vegetable shortening. We do not use any blends, animal fats, lard, beef fats or cotton seed oils in our cooking. Broasted Potatoes We cut whole potatoes everyday into wedges with the skins still on them. We broast them to perfection and then top them with North Shacks special seasoned butter. Our broasted potatoes are also great with North Shacks special BBQ sauce! |
